Known as the “Pocket Rocket,” Henri Richard surprised those who believed he was too small (at 5’7” and weighing 160 pounds) to succeed in the NHL. He helped the Montreal Canadiens win the Stanley Cup 11 times in his 20-year career. He was named to the NHL First All-Star Team in 1958, and to the Second Team in 1959, 1961 and 1963. Later, he succeeded Jean Béliveau as captain of the Habs. Richard won the Masteron Trophy in 1974, participated in 10 NHL All-Star games, and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1979.

Tim Horton

Born in Spruce Grove, Alberta, Grant Fuhr was Edmonton’s first choice in the 1981 NHL Entry Draft. He was a main contributor to the Oiler’s five Stanley Cup championships. On two occasions he helped the club capture back-to-back titles. Fuhr won the Vezina Trophy in 1988 and played in six NHL All-Star games. He spent the first 10 years of his career with the Edmonton Oilers before playing for Toronto, Buffalo, Los Angeles, St. Louis and Calgary.
